We will be starting a new study on Prayer starting August 3rd. This is a Precept 40 Minute Study on The Essentials of Effective Prayer. We have purchased a few copies of the book to be used here at the church, so bring your Bibles and we can discuss this topic.
I have taken the time to make this available on our website through a downloadable worksheet and discussion board. For those that can't make it to church, you can still participate on the website anytime during the week.
If you have trouble using the site you can email me at dtoakes@gmail.com.

I've added new resources to the Main Menu. One is a zip file that contains documents for a study in Ephesians. It includes an outline and then six chapter worksheets. The other is a jukebox that will play Ephesians in the NIV version. We started this last Wednesday and will continue for seven more weeks. |

October 19th the newest Third Day album, Move, came out. I had heard three or four of the songs this summer at a concert and was looking forward to this release. I'm not disappointed in the least.
Take a listen to it by using the link under the main menu, called New Album.

NEW VISION PRESENTED
On Sunday, September 14, 2008, Pastor Bill shared with the congregation his ministry vision.
He shared it with the entire congregation to see if the Lord would have his ministry vision become the vision for the fellowship. The vision was adopted at the Church Business Meeting held October 5, 2008.
It remains to be seen what the Lord will do. Those who have an interest in the Fellowship are asked to pray that the Lord's will be done. Keep watching this web page for upcoming announcements.

Without much fanfare, the church's internet ministry, called The International, was launched in 2009. Think of a neighborhood Christian Center -- only on-line -- and you have the right idea.
There is still much to do on the website, but already it contains several FREE Bible courses that anyone can take on-line. While there is no charge to take the courses, a student is required to create an account. Rest assured that no personal information will ever be shared with anyone else!
Courses currently available are:
- Foundations of Faith - an 11-lesson eLearning course from Harvestime International Institute
- Genesis - a 7-lesson eLearning course from Solid Rock Bible Institute
- God's Law and Promise of Sowing - a multi-media 2-lesson eLearning course developed from a sermon series by Pastor Bill. (This is a good course to start with! It is short but powerful, and by taking the course you will learn to use the features found in every course.)
Courses under development are:
- Armed for War - a multi-media eLearning course on discipleship from Steve Foss Ministries
- The Normal Christian Life - a 24-lesson eLearning course based upon the popular book by Watchman Nee

In March, our founding pastor, Lloyd A. Oakes, went home to be with the Lord. His passing was unexpected and a shock to us all. He will be terribly missed. His was the driving force and passion behind Living Stones Fellowship for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, who continues to serve as the church pianist. Daughter Kris Oakes who leads the worship team. Son Darin Oakes who is a pastor at the church. And Kathy Oakes Grasty who lives with her husband and their three children in Iowa.
